Australia`s Houses

Between 2009, when I came to Australia for the first time, and 2012, when I came back with my family, I realised a series of projects and ideas where I analysed and developed the theme of the family house. The construction technique used and the constant use of precast materials for the construction and finishing with the absence of a true internal structure (reinforced concrete or steel beams) limit the freedom of architectural design. The result is that almost all the houses around Canberra look really similar.

This was the starting point of my new projects where the attempt is to recover the connection between the internal and external functions. It is essential that the outdoor area communicate with the interior in an organic manner and be free from restrictions. The relationship between the interior and exterior space is the dominant theme in the architectural composition of all the projects shown above.
